If you have'nt switched from film to digital
photography yet, what are you waiting for? Everything you ever
did with your film camera you can do with your digital camera,
and a whole lot more. And if you're just starting out in
photography, the instant feedback you get from your digital
camera is priceless. When deciding on what type of digital
camera to get, you have point and shoot, and slr as options.
Point and shoot is the least expensive with the fewest
features, but is the easiest to use and will give your great
digital photographs. Single lens reflex(slr) are more money,
but offer many more features and better quality digital
photographs when you know how to use them. Point and shoot
cameras are priced in the $100-$500 range, and slr's are in the
$500-$2000 range. As with anything you buy, find which camera
has the features you need and is comfortable feeling and easy
to use. Try and get a camera with a resolution of at least 5
megapixels which will give you a good quality 11x14 digital
photograph. Also avoid cameras with shutter lag (when you press
the shutter and the camera hesitates before taking the
photograph), you will miss a lot of great photographs if your
camera has shutter lag. Optical zoom is what is important
when comparing zoom features, the higher the optical zoom the
more powerful your telephoto options. These are a few tips to
consider when deciding to get involved with digital
photography. After taking all your great digital photographs,
you now can edit them and create all kinds of artworks. Editing
and manipulating your photographs is the next step in the
evolution of digital photography, and where you can do so much
more than you could with your film camera. Click Here!
